A grocery delivery company called Shipt is launching a Publix service in South Florida next week. Civic Association News contacted the headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama and confirmed that the Publix store on the island in the Town of Palm Beach is included in the service area. The service starts Monday, August 18, and will operate from metro West Palm Beach to Miami.
There is a yearly cost to this service so if you are interested please visit the website to sign up. I must say living also in New York City you do not have to pay a membership to have your groceries delivered. Fresh Direct and Amazon Fresh are my two favorites and both are free.
Publix failed once with delivery in 2001 so I think they are choosing the wrong model.
Nice to have this new service available.
