Recently, I went to a lecture at the Columbia School of Journalism for three investigative reporters who won Pulitzer Prizes for their writing. One of the writers was Paige St John of the Sarasota Herald Tribune who has written a series of articles on the Florida Home Insurers. She started this series of the huge problems with the whole industry in Florida in 2009 and continues til today to keep updating her facts and information. I have read it and it is so frightening to know how at risk we are in Florida, especially if a hurricane hits us. I do not know who insures our condo but I would ask the board to investigate how solid their insurers are.
